The suspended moment

The suspended moment is a hypnotic work of Guimond, where light and nature come together in a moment of absolute serenity.

In the center of the composition, a bare figure rests on the ground, motionless, as abandoned to the sweetness of the moment. His body, tinged with pale green, seems to merge with the environment, evoking an intimate connection between humans and earth. The fine and relaxed features of his face suggest a state of letting go, between awakening and abandonment, between conscience and dream.

Around her, dark trees form a passage, a kind of sacred vault that opens towards a brilliant light. Their geometric foliage, in tones of blue and green, create a fluid movement which seems to stretch towards the sky, giving the scene an almost mystical dimension. The golden light in the center acts as an enveloping force, a call to an elsewhere or a benevolent energy which bathes the elongated figure.
